We are taking our students on a field trip to Tawatinaw Valley Ski Hill on March 6, 2024.

The students will have the opportunity to snowboard, downhill or cross country ski, hike, snowshoe, tube or just come along and hang out in the chalet playing board games.

Students from both Westlock and Barrhead Outreach will be going on this field trip. The students must be at Barrhead Outreach at 8:30 a.m. and arrive in Westlock to pick up students for 9:15 a.m. We will be skiing until 2:00 p.m., and then return in time for students at both schools to catch their buses.

Students must complete the Student Information form and parents must complete the Field Trip Permission form in order for the student to participate. 

We ask that the students dress warm for the ski trip, and if they need any type of winter clothing such as ski pants, ski gloves, etc to let the respective school know by March 1, 2024. Students can bring their own snowboards or skis, however, these items can also be rented at the hill.

We will provide snacks and water, and students will get to choose their lunch from the chalet ahead of time. 

There will be no fees for your student to participate in this field trip. School programming for the day will happen at Tawatinaw, so all staff and students will be off-site to attend the field trip.
